Division of Student Affairs initiative; seamless and interconnected experience for all Lehigh students

Five foundations: Identity Development, Creative Curiosity, Collaborative Connections, Inclusive Leadership, Professional Development & Success

Piloted in Office of First Year Experience, Office of Residence Life, Office of Fraternity & Sorority Affairs 

For first year students: orientation, Draft book, evolution, 5x10, G-chats, CDS

For upper-class students: Draft book 2.0, residential G-chats & CDEs, leadership experiences; employment opportunities 

Next steps: looking at critical moments for 2nd year students, campus wide collaborative programs (First Year Friend Feast) that help students shape their experience and develop across each of 5 Foundations; clearer marketing regarding bLUeprint for all audiences; web presence, Orientation video, student app

Unity: Emmanuel Lai

  • Spring Fling this Friday from 10 PM – 1 AM
  • Advertising through word of mouth and fliers
  • Extra food was ordered this year; food is international themed

Green Initiatvies: Savannah Monser-Kernosh 

  • Green Fund, Accreditation, Earth Day

Ad Hoc on Peer Advising: Sonja Gorman

Ad Hoc on Diversity and Inclusion: Donald Scott

  • Consider renaming to Committee on Inclusive Excellence PASS 
  • Yik Yak discussion: Senators should vocalize their opposition to the app and delete it/encourage others to do the same

NEW BUSINESS

  • Faculty committee updates: Shaan- Provost Farrell is looking for students to participate in a committee on Housing; email Shaan or Provost Farrell for more information
  • Student Senate XXVII Executive Board Nominations

  • Harry: Allocations will meet Monday, April 7th to discuss Major & Minor club budgets; all are welcome to attend
  • Kerry: MSU & Alpha Gam are keeping the Goose open late
  • Taylor: get involved in I Too Am Lehigh campaign
  • Haley: Diversity Life will be April 11th-12th; looking for volunteers (specifically males); can live on/off campus or in a fraternity or sorority
  • Matt: LeaderShape spots are still available with sponsorship through the Dean of Students
