Student Senate XXVI

Meeting 4: September 10th, 2013

Audra Berner and Jen Reynolds (Communications and Public Affairs)

·         Lehigh’s Events Calendar- use to learn what’s happening around campus and to promote your event; submit events at www.lehigh.edu/submitevent; upcoming calendar enhancements and recommendations

·         Customize want you want to see by searching by date, event category, organizations

·         Events can be submitted months in advance; easy to add events from calendar to Google calendar

·         Need help generating awareness and encouraging organizations to use it

·         Can access calendar from your desktop of tablet

·         Is “Happening Today” part of Daily Announcements from the calendar? Yes, any event that is on the calendar will appear in the Daily Announcements

·         Suggestions: move the calendar front and center on the portal; ensure there aren’t too many categories; considering revamping the Daily Announcements because excessive length discourages students from reading them

·         Questions/comments contact Jen Reynolds (Jennifer.reynolds@lehigh.edu) or Audra Berner (audra.berner@lehigh.edu)
